And something for a winter's day

Someone has been storing acorns in a safe and dry(?) place for the winter.


This is the cover for the well and it's starting to sprout little "access" doors around the base where the wood has rotted. Apparently, teeny rodents can go inside with their stash.

What a nice fall picture....I never quite understood how the little rascals remember where they hide all their acorns?!
Giz you and I are lucky we don't have to worry about where our food is....

Hmmmm......just maybe those teeny rodents have supurb memories! Unlike us humans! Good thing our animals know where their food is!

Hmmm, I think it was a cat who put those there to lure the squirrels!
