Signs of Autumn

Even in the midst of a heat wave with 90+ degree days,
little signs of fall are appearing.

The dogwood flowers are turning red.

Northeastern Okla. is finally cooling off. In the low 80's today. I might do some much needed yard work today or I might not.

I have never seen a dogwood in the fall to know the flowers turned red!
That is so unique!
I was wondering what kind of "pods" they were until I scrolled down and saw your description!

Last year, the bears broke limbs on our dogwood trying to eat these...it's sweet and juicy!
