Pipe Pipsqueaks

We haven't had very many Indian Pipes growing this year; it's been too dry. These two tiny ones were growing by the stream.

I have never seen these before either!

The Indian Pipes look like a cousin to the "Snow Plant" seen in the mountains of CA. Kind of "tubular", they rise up just as the snow is melting.

Funny, last summer was to wet and this summer to hot & dry there!
