Acorns, Whirlies and a Cherry Blossom?

I went looking for signs of autumn the other day and I found lots of “whirlies” waiting to drop off the maple trees. Bunches of acorns are gathered together waiting to fall and be carried off or hidden by squirrels and chipmunks….or just to lie there to sprout next year. I also found something that baffled me. There were new buds on the cherry tree. Hmmmm.

How unique that the cherry tree is blooming! Maybe the warm spell threw it off and it thinks it's spring again!
Whirlies! I remember whirlies, that's a great name for it!
Sounds like it will be noisy around your house if more acorns will be dropping!
