For my friend in NJ

Mom says I shouldn't complain because some peoples gots WAY more snow than we gots. Her friends in a place called New Jersey gots LOTS more. I decided to cheer them up with this picture Mom took at the port in Bayonne, NJ two years ago. See how nice it was that day in May? A little hazy on the water .. but nice. It's coming soon, I hope.

Mom says she is tired of snow (and rain) and maybe you should meet her in Bayonne and you could go HERE where the sun is shining and the sand is pink. She is also giving Pawpa hints about "special packages" and airfare.

Note from Gizzy: Mom bought a tiny bottle of the pink sand at the gift shop. It sits on the mantle of the fireplace.

Thanks Gizzy for sharing one of Mom's pics of "Lady Liberty"!! It's been over 40 years since I last saw her!
Hopefully the sun will return really soon to dry up the mud and bring green back to CT!!

PS It's snowing in AZ, too!

Now you would have run into the tsunami if you were on the islands - so it's good you stayed where you were! :)

Hi Bette!
Kathy said I should ask your husband to take a look at the light shade on my blog. Many believe it to be 1940's but I'm thinking earlier than that. Anyway, it was a great find and I love it. Tell him I said thanks, if he chooses to take a look.

Thanks for the beach scene...just what I need for the winter doldrums!

Are you all going? Ask your Mom before you start packing. Wait, ask the pawpa who's getting the hints :)
