After taking 10 days of doxycycline for a presumed tick bite, Gizzy's Mom was unwilling to risk walking into the brush for a closer shot of the single echinacea in the field across the street. Too many deer ticks in there.
When I lived in Virgina....wayyyy back in the woods my best friend and I would run through the woods all day long and when I got home at the end of the day my mom would "check me for ticks" on day she pull off 82 ticks!!! She wasn't very happy with me...lol

Good thing you stayed away. My son contacted tick fever this summer and was off work for 10 days. It was like having a real bad case of the flu.
Smart Mom...!!
Enjoy
I don't blame your mom one bit! Why take chances? She's been sick enough. I'm trying to dodge moskeeters 'cuz I don't want that West Nile stuff!

Stay out of the bushes, B!
Oh my, I don't blame you for avoiding the bushes! Thank goodness
it wasn't Lyme's disease!
