Yesterday, Pawpa and I went up the mountain to enjoy the Tower Toot held by the "Friends of Heublein Tower". Unfortunately, when we got there, we learned the Toot was postponed due to the inclement weather forecast for the weekend. Because we'd also been invited for hors d'oerves by friends that have property up near the tower, all was not lost. I got a few shots of the trees and the horizon as well as good food and interesting conversation. The day was gray and the trees not as bright and colorful as some years but we enjoyed ourselves immensely anyhow.
A view of Avon Mountain from the top. In the center of the picture, there is a small gray spot. That is the road as it is seen with the naked eye.
This is enlarged just a little.
