"Acorns of Huckleberry Hill" in sepia.
One American Proverb is "From little acorns mighty oaks do grow".
Another is "Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn sometimes".
On Huckleberry Hill our utterances about acorns take a somewhat different tone. Most are oaths not to be repeated here. We are surrounded it seems by the mighty oaks. All of them would cost many thousands of dollars to remove so they .. stay... to plague us day after day after day with their "droppings". It has begun ... the annual rat-a-tat-tat on the roof and air conditioners. To walk in the yard, one feels a hard hat should be a requirement.
(And OK, it's not really sepia. I forgot the flash and just liked the way it looked.)

I like the look without the flash!! Very warm, looks like a Thanksgiving Day Card!
I didn't know there was an acorn season! I do know about walnut season! Let me tell you, they are very loud too! LOL
Watch your step out on the patio! I'm sure it's a clever plot by the neighborhood squirrels!

I am als with Jack's Dad...and I'll raise him one crepe myrtle!
Love the way your pic turned out.
Hmmm......I have several oaks that are growing thanks to the squirrels. I think they work for the Oak Tree shelter belt Society.
Lovely photo!
